In the tradition of Kiyomizu ware, which has a long history, the KOSON KILN is a kiln that has been in operation for over 100 years.
The Kiyomizu ware white porcelain made by the KOSON KILN is called "Seishi-Hakuji". Its characteristic is that it is a soft white that is milky white rather than general white porcelain. And because it is highly translucent, when light is applied to the inside of the vessel, the light passes through the vessel and comes out to the outside.
Her characteristic technique is the scissoring ceramics before firing.

The reason she got to face Noh Mask was that she helped the father-sponsored overseas performance of Noh and the exhibition of Noh in 2007.
Currently, she is working to popularize Noh and Noh Mask, taking over after her father who died in 2020.

Paper-cutting Artist : Megumi Mochizuki
Kyoto, Japan. Born in 1978, she grew up in Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture. In 2002 her career as a paper-cutting artist began. Her work has been featured in magazines, CD covers and TV programs in Japan. In addition to her activities as artist, she studied in the department of education at Tokyo Gakugei University.
From 2008 for four years she had worked as assistant of a Manga artist and was in charge of drawing Buddhist architecture, sculptures and the cityscape of Kyoto. She stated that experience as a Manga assistant helped to improve her drawing skills.
In January 2013, she moved to Kyoto. In the traditional ambience of the city, she expands the range of her activities.
